Happy Birthday Addie Kate

For Addie Kate's third birthday we did a family party and we did "Addie Kate's favorite things" theme (That was what we were going for anyways). A few weeks before her party I asked her a few questions about her favorite things and she had me laughing out loud. Here are some of her answers:

Drink: lemonade (and sweet tea)

Friend: She answered 'Daddy' and then proceeds to tell me because he does not make a dark pancake. I guess that implies that I do make dark pancakes.

Color: blue, pink, and yellow

Toy: baby dolls

Food: macaroni and cheese

Oh how we love this little girl!

One of my favorite pictures...because if you look close enough you can see how in love this little girl is with her Daddy and that makes me smile and want to cry...but in a good way:)

Addie Kate and Aunt La La
Addie Kate and Nannie
Olivia and Aaron
Addie Kate and Gina
The party hats I made:)
Eden and Currie
CC and Big Papa
The grandparents loved the hats most of all
Eli even wore a hat

But not Owen, and believe me we tried! I am just glad I got a picture of him at all:) All the other ones are blurry because he is just so fast!

Getting ready to blow out her candle
We had such a fun day celebrating Addie Kate with all of our family (some family members did get by without a picture in the cute hats...but don't worry we will get you next birthday).
And here is one more of my sweet three year old girl.

two months

Here Eli is at two months. He is still holding on to his blue eyes and in this picture his hair looks very red but doesn't normally look this red.
He is definitely his father's child. When comparing baby pictures he looks almost identical to Gabe's baby pictures.

I love love love this baby boy! His smile is contagious and he already loves to chat:) He is a tough little boy already (he doesn't have much choice with Owen around) and is very laid back. Life just got a little bit sweeter!

summer

Here are some pics I wanted to share from this summer that I just haven't gotten around to putting up yet!
Here is Gabe with two out of the three of his babies right when he got home from camp (Eli was almost a week old here). These babies get so excited to see there Daddy... especially when he's been out of town!
Addie Kate and Owen have a new favorite toy. Here is their little "baby doll" playing in Addie Kate's bed. Eli is such a good baby and so far loves "playing" with his big brother and sister.
I love playing with my camera and taking this little man's picture. He is the easiest to catch right now:)

We love having visitors! Her is Eli with Grand-Daddy and Maw Maw who drove up to see their great-grandson!
Some vegetables out of my garden! My gardening was slow but sure this summer and I learned a lot. Luckily we have wonderful gardeners at church who kept up shocked all summer long with fresh okra, squash, tomatoes, peaches, and butter beans. Oh, how I love some good summer veggies!
Here these babies are playing outside and eating ice cream.

Owen does wear clothes.... sometimes!

Daphne

We took Eli on his first road trip right after he was a month old. Yes, with all 3 car seats in the back. Gabe was going on his third trip with the youth group this summer (this time to Phoenix, Arizona) so we headed to Daphne to stay with family for the week. We had a fun week and kept very busy with these three babies!

Eli meeting Papa and Nannie (His great grandparents) for the first time.
Our kids are so blessed to have seven great-grand parents that are still living. What a precious gift! I can only imagine what it must be like to watch your grand-babies have babies!

Addie Kate and Owen love CC and Big Pop's pool.
Owen does not however like wearing clothes. So, I pick my battles and just let him run around naked for a little while. His little bottom is just so cute, I couldn't resist!

I did make him put his bathing suit on to go play in the fountains though! They loved the fountains, but didn't last long considering it was over 100 degrees outside. (We bribed them into leaving by going to get some frozen yogurt).

Addie Kate loves helping her CC and Big Pop answer the phone and book jobs for Peaches. Here she is working very hard.
She takes her job very serious!!
Lauren and I cooked and cooked while we were there! (Going out to eat with three is exhausting and can turn bad really fast). So we compiled a list of recipes we had been wanting to try and we cooked! We made: shrimp penne pasta, fajitas with pico and guacamole, peanut butter pie, crunchy broccoli salad, caramel cake, and these french breakfast puffs. And that's what I can remember!
At the beginning of the week I made a deal with Addie Kate that if she learned to swim by herself I would take her to Build-A-Bear. She did so well and learned to swim and so we got to go! I let her pick out what she wanted and .... she picked an elephant. There were no bulldogs (we were in Alabama) but if there were I am certain she would have gotten a bulldog.

She had so much fun stuffing and bathing her elephant whom she quickly named Emily. All of her babies are named Emily right now.

Emily the elephant was looking so cute in the outfit Addie Kate picked out for her...complete with hot pink sparkly high tops!
Big Pop and little man. Eli is looking more and more like Gabe everyday!!
Addie Kate hanging out with the big girls. Someone asked her the other day how old she would be on her birthday and she said sixteen! I am having a hard enough time believing she will be three!!
