Our Life Lately..

Well maybe not exactly lately...but this is what we have been up to over the last month and a half.
Dying Easter eggs with Nannie and G-Daddy! Addie Kate was much more into dying eggs this year. Owen, however, was more interested in playing with Aunt E.

Taking pics after church. I am slowly but surely learning how to use my camera (I'm still thinking I need to take a class).

Going to watch t-ball games.... Addie Kate loves going to the ball field. I hope she still enjoys it in a few years because I feel like she might be there a lot more:)
Her little friend Eli from church....they are so funny together! He told her if she came to his game he 'would never get out for her' and that he would 'hit three home runs for her.' She did not forget and waited for his three home runs the entire game. Gabe was quick to tell Addie Kate that he could hit more home runs than Eli. Really, he told her that. Oh, Gabe, he loves his little girl!
Apparently Eli said something very funny.
Owen had us chasing him all over! He did like sitting on Daddy's shoulders so we got a few minutes of rest!

Working on our box garden....Did I say 'our'? Ok, my box garden that Gabe was sweet to build and fill for me. I did plant my vegtables though. And when I say sweet I mean it! He was so not about doing a garden this summer, but built it for me out of pure love. He seems to think that we already have a lot on our plates right now...I don't know what would give him that idea!

Making very good cupcakes for a friend's baby shower at church (and really practicing taking pictures of food). Maybe one day I can get around to posting some good recipes!
Getting little man up from his nap and finding him naked. This has happened twice now. I have to be sure now that he is wearing something that he is unable to take off before I lay him down because he will undress himself if he can. He loves being naked.

Getting the most wonderful Mother's Day presents! I got a little teared up about these...I am pregnant so maybe that is what it was. Or maybe not. I love them!

Now we have been getting ready for our sweet baby boy! Our little scare a few weeks ago really got us into gear and so we have been busy preparing for his arrival. We even had to get a new vehicle! We figured it was important that our car was able to fit all 3 carseats!!

Spring Break Number 2

Who doesn't need two spring breaks? After this week, I think I might need another!

This week has been a crazy week. I woke up Monday morning with really bad pains in my stomach... to the point that is was hard to walk. I called my doctor's office and the nurse instructed me to take tylenol and a warm bath (which makes you feel like you are super dramatic and a little tylenol should obviously do the trick). It didn't. Around lunch time I started having contractions so I called Gabe and told him we should probably head to the hospital so I could just get checked out (my neighbor came to watch the kids until Eden could get down here). At this point I started getting a little worried (not to mention I was still in a lot of pain) and the tears came! I had pretty much gotten it together by the time we got to the hospital until the lady at the front desk asked me how far along I was and put me in a wheel chair to take me to labor and delivery... the tears returned. Once I got hooked up to all the monitors and they checked our baby boy and he was looking good, I was much better! I was having steady, strong contractions though so they started running tests. I tested positive for pre-term labor was given a shot to stop my contractions. Once I got the shot my contractions stopped almost immediately. I was given a prescription and put on strict bedrest until my next doctors appointment, which luckily was the next morning:) My doctor was very positive and told me to take it easy but I do not have to be on bedrest for the remainder of my pregnancy unless there are more complications. I am so so grateful that I was able to return home and that we get to wait a little longer to meet our little man!
This little scare has made me realize even more so how blessed we are to have had three healthy pregnancies.

Now back to our second spring break....The weekend after Owen's birthday me and the babies headed back down to the beach. Olivia had a softball tournament in Gulf Shores so we went down to help Lauren "chaperone" Olivia and her friends at the beach for the week. Such a tough job....

Addie Kate loves loves going to watch Olivia's softball games. She gets so excited yelling "Go Go Go Olivia" as loud as she can. She made all kinds of friends at the softball fields...including one with a little puppy. She carried that poor puppy around all over!
Owen was really fun to chase around the ball-field. Unfortunately he really wanted to try all the sunflower seeds that others had spit out on the ground. So he had to be held most of the time.
In between softball games we did get to go to the pool. Here they are looking out off our balcony.

And getting in the pool....
We even got to to crabbing at the beach one night...Here is Big Papa holding Addie Kate up so the crabs didn't get her.

Here is little man at dinner with his crazy hair....we are getting it cut next week (tear, tear).
It is so nice to get away and have a little break, but we did really miss Daddy. Addie Kate got really pitiful about him toward the end of the week. At one point Owen was crying in the car and she said "he may just want Daddy." And then I knew she was bad off when she burst into tears while talking to him on the phone! You might say she's a Daddy's girl:)
