Happy Birthday Olivia!

We have been singing happy birthday to Olivia for two weeks now! Addie Kate is really into birthdays right now so we sing and sing; not to mention she loves loves her Aunt Livie.
Last weekend our families came in town to find out the sex of our new baby and while they were all here, we had a surprise birthday party for Gabe's sister Olivia who turned 16 today! I just love having family here and I am always so sad to see them go!

Shhhh.......
Notice we erased the chalk-board but didn't have time to write her birthday message before she arrived.

Better than biscuits....

A few Saturdays ago our Chick-fil-a was having hat day...get a free chicken biscuit if you come in wearing a hat. So we braved the cold and took the babies to get biscuits. They loved their biscuits, maybe as much as we did...and yes Owen is still in his pajamas!

But even better than the biscuits was looking in the back seat on the way home and seeing this. Holding hands while we were driving. It just makes my heart happy!

Snow Days

We, like most everyone else in Georgia, we got snow this past week. This was Owen's first snow and he liked it...for a minute and then he was over it. Gabe was off on Monday so we had fun having family time, making tomato bisque and grilled cheese sandwiches, and enjoying the warmth of our home!
P.S. I got a new camera for Christmas and am so excited to learn all about it and hopefully take some really fun pics this year!!! Wish me luck figuring it out!

December...quick recap

I know this is late, but better late than never....
December was a crazy but fun month! In the midst of all the busyness of Christmas, Gabe and I got the flu. It was absolutely miserable, especially since I could only take tylenol. Thankfully Gabe's sister Lauren was out of school and came and stayed with us for a few nights. I don't know what I would have done without her because I was literally out of it for a few days. We were so blessed that the babies did not get it and were healthy on Christmas. Lauren, however, was not so lucky and took the flu back with her to Alabama.
While recovering from the flu, we traveled to Griffin on Christmas Eve and then to Alabama for New Years.
Here is a quick recap of what Christams was like for us....
We opened Christmas books and read them before bed (almost) every night in December...

We made a gingerbread house on Christmas Eve...
Opened presents on Christmas morning...

Rode a Christmas Train in Alabama...
Rode in our new wagon with CC and Big Papa...

And just had fun with our friends and family.
